Madame la Premi\u00e8re Ministre,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous souhaitons attirer votre attention sur la situation de Georges Ibrahim Abdallah, d\u00e9tenu depuis 1984, condamn\u00e9 en 1987, et lib\u00e9rable en droit fran\u00e7ais depuis 1999. Alors que la justice s\u2019est \u00e0 deux reprises prononc\u00e9e pour sa lib\u00e9ration, il est pourtant toujours maintenu en d\u00e9tention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette situation choquante r\u00e9sulte du seul fait d\u2019un refus du minist\u00e8re de l\u2019Int\u00e9rieur de prendre un arr\u00eat\u00e9 d\u2019expulsion vers le Liban, condition exig\u00e9e pour que sa mise en libert\u00e9 soit effective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or, Monsieur Abdallah a bien \u00e9mis le souhait de rejoindre sa famille au Liban et les autorit\u00e9s libanaises ont donn\u00e9 leur aval \u00e0 ce retour, si bien que rien ne s\u2019oppose \u00e0 sa mise en libert\u00e9 hormis le refus aussi injustifi\u00e9 qu\u2019inhabituel dans une telle affaire de prise d\u2019un arr\u00eat\u00e9 d\u2019expulsion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous n\u2019ignorons pas que ce refus doit beaucoup aux pressions des autorit\u00e9s am\u00e9ricaines et isra\u00e9liennes qui n\u2019ont pas cach\u00e9 leur souhait de voir Monsieur Abdallah mourir en prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il n\u2019est pas acceptable que les autorit\u00e9s fran\u00e7aises continuent \u00e0 se plier aux pressions de deux gouvernements \u00e9trangers en bafouant les droits d\u2019un homme qui peut l\u00e9gitimement b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d\u2019une mise en libert\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u2019est pourquoi dans la mesure o\u00f9 une nouvelle d\u00e9cision de justice en faveur de la lib\u00e9ration de Monsieur Abdallah ne pourra \u00eatre effective que si son arr\u00eat\u00e9 d\u2019expulsion vers le Liban est sign\u00e9 par le gouvernement fran\u00e7ais, nous demandons \u00e0 votre gouvernement de prendre l\u2019arr\u00eat\u00e9 requis pour permettre la mise en libert\u00e9 de Monsieur Abdallah et son expulsion vers le Liban.                                                           <\/p>\n\n\n\n
